Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, commented, "As far as our team is concerned, this is no surprise. We spend a lot of time recruiting student-athletes that are going to challenge themselves academically, because in reality, basketball is just icing on the cake. They are here to earn a degree and transfer or start a career, and they cannot do those things without setting and achieving goals in the classroom. We are hoping to hit double-digits within our team next year, and place at least two more student-athletes on the Academic All-American team."
