The United States Collegiate Athletic Associations announced their first weekly national coaches poll on Friday, and CMCC's men's and women's basketball teams were both ranked in the top 10 of their respective polls.
When the polls came out on Friday, the men's basketball squad sat at 9-6 overall and 5-1 in the Yankee Conference with one game remaining before winter break. The Mustangs are ranked 7th in the coaches poll, just one point behind #6 Berkeley College of New York.
A perennial chart-topper on the women's basketball side, the Lady Mustangs make their debut in the coaches poll ranked #3, and are the top ranked YSCC team. With one game left in the first semester, the Lady Mustangs are 9-3 overall and 6-0 in the Yankee Conference.
