2004-05 Men's Basketball Season in Review

Patrick Dempsey returned for his fourth and final year as a Mustang. Patrick had another strong season at the point guard position averaging 13.5 points per game, 11.14 assists a game, 2.4 rebounds a game, and 1.5 steals per game. Patrick proved to everyone that he meant business by leading the Mustangs to the National tournament. Patrick was named MSCC All Conference team, Yankee All Conference team, and was named USCAA All American

Kaleb Violette of Readfield joined the team this year. Walking in as freshman Kaleb stepped up to the challenge providing a huge presence in the paint and hitting the boards really well. Kaleb averaged 16.21 points per game, 2.36 assists a game, 7.5 rebounds a game, and 1.39 steals per game. Kaleb was also named to the Can AM All Tournament team.

Chris Brackett returned for his third season. He had a strong season leading the team in scoring the first semester with 20.32 points per game, 2.08 assists a game, 7.1 rebounds per game, and 1.04 steals a game. Chris was named MSCC All Conference team.

Kevin Bean returned for his second season as a mustang. Kevin picked up where he left off the year before by being the team’s enforcer. Kevin led the team in charges and whenever something needed to be done Kevin did it. Scoring 3.04 points per game, 1.21 assists a game, 3.9 rebounds a game, and 0.6 steals per game.

Chris Davis returned for his second year averaging 1.04 points per game, 0.32 assists a game, 0.6 rebounds per game, and 0.24 steals a game. Davis was a role player who was put into the game to shoot.

Jon Gilson of Casco joined the team this year. Jon was put into the game to shoot and to but mostly to get rebounds. Jon averaged 7.13 points per game, 1.13 assists a game, 3.9 rebounds a game, and 1.13 steals a game.

Richie Danieli of New Gloucster joined the team this year. Richie hustled the most out of everyone on the team. He was on the floor for every loose ball. Richie averaged 0.53 points per game, 0.58 assists a game, 1.6 rebounds a game, and 0.47 steals per game.

Jon Wallingford joined the team this year after playing three years at the University of Maine. Jon came to CM to use his final year of eligibility. Jon set a CM record hitting 15 threes at Mass Bay. Jon averaged 23.14 points per game, 2.71 assists per game, 3.6 rebounds a game, and 2.71 steals a game.

Jared McKay from New Gloucster joined the team this year for the second semester. Jared averaged 1.33 points per game, 0.33 assists a game, 1.3 rebounds a game, and 0.11 steals per game.

Taylor Caron returned for the Mustangs during the second semester to lead the team in rebounds with 8.6 per game. Taylor averaged 16.5 points a game, 0.64 assists per game, 0.71 steals a game, and 1.71 blocks a game.
