LaRochelle's Walkoff Gives Great Bay the Victory over The Mustangs

The Great Bay Herons took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple the CMCC Mustangs. The game was tied at ten with GBCC batting in the bottom of the ninth when Logan LaRochelle singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

A six-run lead in the eighth inning was just enough for the Herons to hold off CMCC for the victory. Central Maine scored seven runs in the failed comeback on a single by Tremble, a single by Wing, an error, and a groundout by Jacob Strout.

Things got moving in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Great Bay.

The Herons notched six runs in the eighth inning. Evan LaVoice and LaRochelle each drove in runs followed by a Mike Sterritt grand slam.

Yadiel Villalongo led things off on the hill for Great Bay. He lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out nine.

Biron got the start for Central Maine. He lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out nine. Walker and Valls entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Jose Santiago went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the Herons in hits.

The Mustangs tallied 12 hits in the game. St. Pierre, Biron, and Valls all had multiple hits for CMCC and St. Pierre led his team with three hits in four at bats.
