Four Pitchers Combine for Mustangs Shutout

Standish, ME - Central Maine defeated Saint Joseph's (JV) 8-0 on Monday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Riley Elliot struck out Jason Brooks to finish off the game.

An early lead helped propel the Mustangs to victory. CM scored on a single by Matthew Toth, a single by Matthew Turner, a single by Evan Sullivan, and a single by Bryce Walker in the first inning.

A double by Drew Healey in the first inning was a positive for Saint Joseph's College.

Evan Roberts earned the win for CM. He went four innings, allowing zero runs, three hits, striking out four, and walking one. Alex Biron threw one inning, as three relievers helped CM finish off the victory.

Weston Bergeron took the loss for Saint Joseph's College of Maine. He threw two innings, allowing six runs, eight hits, and striking out three.

Central Maine collected 11 hits; Matthew Tremble and Kyle Moore each collected multiple hits for the Mustangs.  The Mustangs didn't commit a single error in the field.

Saint Joe's had seven hits in the game. Ray Mosca and Matt Demma each collected multiple hits.
