Concord, NH - Central Maine Mustangs stayed in it until the end, but the Lynx pulled away late in a 3-2 victory on Saturday.

NHTI trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Michael Kernan singled off of Evan Roberts, driving in one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. The Lynx pitchers struck out two, while CM sat down three.

Central Maine captured the lead in the second inning.

Zach Poisson earned the win for NHTI. He tossed eight innings, allowing two runs, five hits, and striking out two. Evan Roberts took the loss for Central Maine. He threw seven and two-thirds innings, surrendering three runs, nine hits, striking out three, and walking zero.

Evan Sullivan, Matthew Tremble, Matthew Toth, Alex Biron, and Brandon Varney all had one hit to lead Central Maine.

The NHTI Lynx collected nine hits. Michael Kernan and Steve Moran each collected multiple hits for the Lynx.

NHTI did not commit a single error in the field. Mason Gaudette had the most chances in the field with 12.
