Mustangs Split on the road

Concord, NH - The Mustangs traveled to Concord, NH to take on the Lynx of NHTI.

Game 1

CM jumped out to a 4-0 lead highlighted by a Corey Armstrong three run home run in the 3rd. The lead could not be held as NHTI came away with a 7-5 come from behind win.  Armstrong finished the game with a double, a home run and four RBI. Max Dobkowski, Jimmy Reed, Will Bean and Caleb Valliere all recorded hits for the Mustangs. 

Game 2

Hayden Tremblay led the way for CM going 2-5 with 5 RBI. Corey Armstrong continued his hot streak by going 3-3 in  game 2 and leading CM to an 11-9 victory for the Mustangs. Hunter Warren picked up the win on the mound for CM while Caleb Valliere got the save. Armstrong, Tremblay, Jimmy Reed and Cody Allen were all repeat hitters for the Mustangs. CM improves their record to 3-1. 

With head coach Ryan Palmer away at a family wedding, assistant Brett Turenne was in charge. He added: "We must clean up our defense and pitchers need to throw strikes more consistently. We did a good job scoring runs today. Hopefully we can build off this and keep improving every day"
