Lawrence, MA - The Mustangs baseball team was back in action in NECBA play on Sunday afternoon as they took on Franklin Pierce in a doubleheader. The Mustangs went on to sweep the DH 15-5 and 10-0.
In game 1, the Mustangs bats came alive with a 14 hit attack. Cam Armstrong led the way with four hits and three runs scored. Dennis Amore added three hits and two RBI. Corey Armstrong had two hits including a double and two RBI.
Rhen Trinidade picked up the win on the mound for the Mustangs.
In game 2, the hot bats continued as the Mustangs pounded out 11 hits en route to a 10-0 victory.
Cam Armstrong, Caleb Valliere, Will Bean and Max Dobkowski all had two hits each for the Mustangs. Bean added two doubles and two RBI.
Wyatt Lufkin was masterful on the mound for the Mustangs allowing just three hits and striking out seven.
The Mustangs improve to 9-1 in the NECBA and 16-6 overall. They take on Bridgton Academy in Bridgton on Wednesday.
