Mustangs Sweep SNHU

Auburn, ME - The CM Mustangs baseball team was clicking on all cylinders on Saturday afternoon as they swept Southern New Hampshire University 11-1 and 7-6 on a beautiful day in Sunny Auburn.

In game one, Wyatt Lufkin was masterful on the mound throwing a complete game and not giving up an earned run. Even Eldridge led the offense with a grand slam in the 5th inning. Rolando Rodriquez chipped in with three runs scored.

"I can't say enough about what Wyatt Lufkin did for us today" said head coach Ryan Palmer. "Having six games in three days, our pitching was thin. We needed someone to log quite a few innings and boy did he deliver"

In game two, the Mustangs took advantage of six SNHU errors. The Mustangs were out hit 16-3 and still found a way to win the game. Corey Armstrong led the way with three RBI. Rhen Trinidade and Derek Ducharme each had two runs scored for the Mustangs.

Cole Brown threw five innings and collected the win. Cooper Neleski and Reid Cote each pitched an inning in relief. Cote picked up the save.

"I dont think ive been part of a game where we were out hit 16-3 and still won" said Palmer. "But thats baseball" "Today was a chance for our subs to get some playing time and im pleased with the way we responded "

The Mustangs finish out the weekend with a doubleheader in Concord against NHTI in conference play on Sunday with game one starting at 11am
