Mustangs bats go silent in YSCC final

Old Orchard, ME - The Mustangs couldnt get the bats going and a couple late inning errors hurt as they fell in the YSCC Championship to SM 5-1.

Jimmy Reed had two hits and scored the lone run for the Mustangs. Stefan Lesco had the only other hit the CM. Caleb Valliere pitched well enough to win as he went the distance giving up four hits and only two earned runs. "Caleb had pitched his heart out every time against SM this season," said Palmer, "He gave us a chance to win, we just couldnt get our bats going." The Mustangs struck out 12 times (9 looking) in the contest.

CM finishes their season 33-18 and have a lot to look forward to as they only lose two players to graduation. With their first 30-win season and a conference final appearance, you won't want to sleep on the Mustangs next season.
