Mustangs Drop Two to Bobcats

Auburn, ME - The CM Mustangs baseball team ended their fall season by dropping two games to Bryant and Stratton Albany on Saturday in Auburn.

In game one, Colton Frisbie led the Mustangs offense with three hits and two RBIs. Garren Post and Shane Sullivan had two hits each in a 15-6 defeat. Trevor Phelps, Craig Burnett, Jack Cote and Garret Harvey shared the pitching duties with Phelps taking the loss. Mustangs pitching allowed 11 walks in the defeat.

In game two, the Mustangs had no answer for Bobcats pitching as they fell 11-0. Evan Eldridge and Brandon Gour were the only Mustangs to record hits. Again, walks hurt Mustang pitching as they allowed 10. Keith Hooker, Rhen Trinidade, Shane Sullivan and Jeff Meisner all saw action on the mound with Hooker taking the loss.

This concludes the fall season for the Mustangs as they finish the fall with a 15-3 record. They begin their spring season March 10th in Pennsylvania.

"As proud as I am with the fall season we had, I'm very disappointed in the way we played today," said Head Coach Palmer, "We had no fight and acted as though we didn't want to be on the field. Bryant and Stratton is a good club but not 20 runs better then us. But again, extremely happy with the fall, overall."
