A Maine native, Coach Turenne graduated from South Portland High School in 1992. He was a member of the baseball and swim teams and  served as captain in both teams his senior seasons. He attended SMCC where he played a year of baseball as an outfielder and a relief pitcher.

Turenne coached Middle School and High School baseball for Windham and Bonny Eagle. In his 10 years of coaching High School baseball his focus was on defensive development of the players. He also coached Babe Ruth teams that won States and brought the team to Regionals. Recently Turenne coached at SMCC as the assistant coach whose focus was on the infield and recruiting. 

Turenne resides in Windham with his fiance and two sons and works as a independent contractor.
