Esports: Fortnite & Rocket League split in Thursday night action

Auburn, ME - CM Rocket League and Fortnite teams were both in action Thursday night. 

Rocket League, who recorded the first win in CM Esports history just last week, was coming off a 3-2 loss to Lebanon Valley College on Wednesday night. They took on Oklahoma City University, and defeated the 4-year NAIA school in straight games, winning the series 3-0. With the win they improve to 2-4 in the NACE Fall Championships and will have two more games next week. Rocket League also begins their East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) regular season next week as well, and will take on the University of Louisiana on Monday.

For the Fortnite duo, this was their first regular season game of their ECAC season. They were matched up with NCAA Division I power, Syracuse University (NY). The Orange took the match-up in straight sets, defeating the Mustangs 3-0. the Mustang Fortnite duo will be back in action next Thursday against SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Esports has a busy week ahead with 10 total games with a total of 8 teams in action.
