Esports: Fortnite and Madden teams both qualify for postseason

Auburn, ME - In the first year of the esports program at CM, two teams have qualified for postseason play in the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Fall Championships.

Fortnite, led by coach Dustin West, will take on Upper Iowa University in the first round. The Fortnite duo of Michael Rowe and Mal Mercier had a successful regular season in ECAC play, and if they wil, they will take on SUNY Poly Tech in the next round.

The Madden team is made up of Hunter Fisher, Allyx Chabot, Robert Tremaine went undefeated in ECAC regular play, and earned a bye in the first round of the tournament and the top overall seed. The Madden team, which is coached by Connor Sheehy, will play the winner of New England College and Neumann University.

The other CMCC esports teams did not qualify for post season play, although all teams secured multiple wins during regular season play.
