Basketball Teams Training Hard in Off Season

Auburn, ME - Under the guidance of Strength & Conditioning Coach, Terry McLellan, the Women's and Men's Basketball Teams are working hard this off season.  Players are training three times a week working on quickness and core strength.  Accordingly to Coach McLellan, "As we progress I have seen our student athletes bodies mature from an unconditioned athlete to conditioned collegiate athlete.  Their confidence has grown which will translate on the court."

Men's Basketball Coach Dave Gonyea states, "As we approached the end of the season last year I noticed we lost some of our quickness which caused us some problems at the national tournament.  We asked our training department to address this need.  They have developed a dynamic program and the players are buying in, and working hard to improve."

According to Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, "This is going to make a huge difference for our program.  Not only are we getting bigger, faster, quicker, and stronger, this is also a tremendous boost in injury prevention.  Having the facility and staff in place to do this is a tremendous plus, and we are very grateful."

Workouts will continue until the end of classes. Players will be provided summer workout schedules to complete until they come back to school in the fall.
