Men's Basketball Wins 4th Straight

Men's Basketball Wins 4th Straight

On a good day, two games in two days against solid competition can be a challenge at best.  The Mustangs played on the road Friday night and arrived back in Auburn in the wee hours Saturday morning, then had to turn around in just 10 short hours and host a home game.

CM had every reason to come out sluggish and a bit sloppy Saturday.  It took a mediocre first half performance, which found the Mustangs only up 36-35 to wake the boys up for the 2nd half.  CM stormed out of the gate early in the 2nd half and caused 20 second half turnovers to hold Holyoke to 19 second half points as the home team walked away with an 84-57 win against Holyoke Community College. The victory is the fourth straight for CM.

Again, balanced scoring led the mustangs.  Shaun Hill had 15 points, Xavier Colbert had 12 points and Tim Flanagan added 10 points.  The Mustangs travel to Unity College Tuesday evening for their first YSCC matchup of the season.
