A balanced scoring attack and 40 minutes of constant ball pressure carried the Mustangs to a 110-72 thrashing of Unity College in their YSCC opener. CM began the game flat falling behind 13-6 before going on a 22-5 run to open up the first half. Waves of full court pressure and fresh legs enabled the visitors to take a 58-29 lead into halftime.
The second half was all Mustangs as twelve different players scored for CM. Carrington Miller led CM with 17 points. With the win, CM improves its record to 5-0 and 1-0 in the YSCC.
The Mustangs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Lee Academy Prep in an exhibition game at 7:00pm.
