Men's Basketball Eases By John Abbott

Three weeks of inactivity didn't appear to stop the Mustangs as CM used full-court pressure and timely shooting to defeat the visiting Islanders of Jon Abbott College, 83-65.

This was the first game back from the first semester break and the Mustangs came out of the gate firing.  Jalen Lincoln and Tim Flanagan combined for the game's first 12 points and the squad jumped out to a 19-3 lead.  Twenty minutes later, the Mustangs went to the locker room with a commanding 44-18 lead.

The Islanders turned it up in the second half cutting the lead to ten points at the five minute mark.  Despite being short-handed with only ten players, CM kept to its game plan and used all ten players in the win.  Four Mustangs hit for double figures: Shaun Hill led CM with 19 points, Luis Medina added 16 points, Tim Flanagan finished with 11 points, and Jalen Lincoln rounded out the group with 10 points.   Justin-Owen Renwick led Jon Abbott with 22 points.

The win increases the Mustangs record to 15-0 on the season.
