Men's and Women's Basketball Set to Host Coaches vs. Cancer Game

The Central Maine men's and women's basketball teams will hold a Coaches vs. Cancer event on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 when they host Eastern Maine Community College, as they look to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living. The women play at 6:00 p.m., while the men tip-off at 8:00 p.m.

During their warm-ups players will be wearing pink shirts promoting the American Cancer Society.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the ACS and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The program seeks to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living among students, faculty and staff, fans, and the community at large. Participating coaches have helped raise more than $87 million to help the ACS save lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against cancer.
