Men's Basketball Falls for First Time this Season

Auburn, ME - A talented Virginia University Lynchburg squad arrived in Auburn at 12pm today and six hours later proceeded to pick apart the Mustang press to knock CM from the ranks fo the unbeaten in a 93-76 contest.

Totally organized and looking like they have played together for years, VUL handled all the pressure thrown at them.  CM fell behind 24-16 in the early going and were able to keep the game in check for most of the first half.  Virginia went on a 14-2 run to end the half and entered the locker room with a 51-35 advantage.

CM had their chance with about 7 minutes remaining and a chance to cut the lead to 12 points but a steal and resulting layup changed tempo and put CM back on its heels.  Kazre Cummings lead CM with 14 points, followed by Tim Flanagan and Luis Medina with 13 points.

CM falls to 19-1 on the season, and will host  Vermont Tech and the University of Maine at Machias this weekend.
