Mustangs Add Puerto Rican Guard

Juan Reyes of Caguas, Puerto Rico has committed to play men's basketball at CM next season.  Reyes was a 3-year starter and 2-year captain for Olympic Academy, where he averaged 24.2 points per game this past season.  He also played varsity soccer for 3 years, with his team winning the FIFA Fair Play Cup.  In addition to his athletic achievements, Reyes was also an honor student.

"From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew that CM was the place for me.  I loved everything about the school, and having the chance to continue playing basketball is something that is very important to me.  CM's style of play is just what I am looking for; I think it will be a great fit for my game.  I am very thankful for this opportunity - I am going to make my friends, family, and God proud.  I could not be more excited to be a part of the Mustang family!" said Reyes.

According to Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, Brennen Morton, "Juan is a quiet, outgoing young man; but don't let that fool you.  He is determined to be successful and make his family proud on and off the basketball court.  He is a pleasant and respectful individual with a great attitude.  On the court, Juan loves to distribute the ball and involve his teammates.  He is a pass first point guard who prefers the up-tempo style of play and will add depth to our backcourt."
