AUBURN — The Rhode Island-based NAVY Prep men's basketball squad had four players in double figures Friday as it edged Central Maine Community College, 90-89, in a hard-fought contest at Kirk Hall.
Dom Antonelli led Navy with 25 points, while Nate Messer chipped in with 20. Mitchell Baldwin put 17 points on the board, while Louie Pillan added 10. The contest was tied at 49-49 at the half, indicative of just how close this one was throughout.
The Mustangs were paced by Jeremy Suero with 22 points, while Xavier Colbert chipped in with 15. CMCC (2-1) took an 89-88 lead with 53 seconds left to play, yet couldn't defend against a determined Navy squad.
