Bridgton Academy nips Mustangs

A basketball game is forty minutes long.  The Mustangs played the perennial powerhouse Bridgton Academy even for twenty of those minutes before being outscored 33-26 in the second half falling to the Wolverines on the road, 73-66. 

Despite CM leading by as much as 10 points in the first half, BA went on a 12-2 run in the last 3 minutes of the half to even the score at 40-40 at the break.  The second half score went back and forth until the 6 minute mark when Bridgton went up by 6 points and maintained that lead the remainder of the contest.

Xavier Colbert (Manassas, VA) lead with 17 points and 8 rebounds.  Preston Isner (Bealeton, VA) hit for 15 points, while Carrington Miller (Bingham, ME) chipped in 7 points and ripped down 10 rebounds.

With the loss, CM falls to 8-5 overall.  They will be back in action on Sunday when they host Yankee Conference foe, UMaine-Machias in a 2:00pm contest.
