Central Penn stops Mustangs

The game following an emotional rivalry game tends to be a challenging one for any team, and things were no different on Saturday for the Mustangs.  Two days after a heart-breaking last-second loss to SMCC, the Mustangs hosted Knights of Central Penn.

The Knights, following an 8-hour van ride to Auburn, came ready to play, placing 4 scorers in double figures.  Central Penn put up 51 points in the first half to lead at intermissions 51-33.  The second half was not much better for CM, as the Knights coasted to a 92-77 win.

CM just couldn't get any energy going and a lackadaisical, uninspiring effort followed for forty minutes.

The Mustangs were led by Carrington Miller (Bingham, ME) with 17 points and 9 rebounds, Kazre Cummings (Providence, RI) 15 points and 13 rebounds and Jeremy Suero (Providence, RI) added 14 points.

Devon Dorsey led Central Penn with 22 points and 14 rebounds.

CM falls to 9-7 in USCAA play, and will be back in action Monday when they travel to Bangor to take on EMCC in their first semester finale.
