Despite Xavier Colbert's (Manassas, VA) 16-point outburst and a stellar defensive effort on VTC's Jamal Hughes, the Green Knights thumped CM 74-59 for the Mustangs second loss in two days. The Mustangs trailed most of the game and couldn't get any momentum.
CM shot a miserable 24% from the field and with the exception of Breyon Graves three late in the second half couldn't drop the three ball all game. Travel, fatigue and early second semester play can account of some of the shooting performance as CM didn't have the spark and drive necessary to compete.
The squad has a week to prepare for their Saturday home game (3:00pm) vs. the College of St. Joseph's (VT).
