The Central Maine Men's Basketball Program and Head Men's Basketball Coach Dave Gonyea is pleased to welcome three former Belfast basketball players to Auburn.

Kaleb Benjamin is a 2013 graduate at Belfast High School where he was the team captain and most improved player his senior year.

Zavier Roman will graduate from Belfast High School in 2015 where he played basketball and baseball.  He was a co-captain of the basketball team this past year.

Levi Lapham will also graduate from Belfast High School this year and served as the other co-captain of the basketball team.  Levi also is an all-conference indoor track athlete.

According to Coach Gonyea, "All three players are the kind of quality, character kids we want in our program.  Levi can jump through the roof, Zavier has nice basketball instincts and Kaleb can really shoot it.   I am very happy they chose CM!"

All the boys commented on the reasons they selected CM...

Levi: "I chose to come to CM because it's a nice community and the people are very welcoming.  I also believe the basketball program can help me develop my game and as well as help me gain better people skills and build on my character."

Zavier:  "I chose to come to CM because of the amazing criminal justice program, the great basketball program, and the inviting atmosphere.  Out of all my college visits, CM seemed to be the best fit for me."

Kaleb:  "I love the atmosphere here and love how close everything is to the town.  CM to me is very similar to Belfast, everything is close together and everyone knows each other.  Also, I know Coach Gonyea will help me grow as a basketball player, student and person."
