CM comes back to knock out Tommies

Auburn, ME- As the saying goes, defense wins games.  CM found out the relevance of that saying today as the home team overcame a 10 point halftime deficit to outscore St Thomas University 30-9 in the second half leading the Mustangs to a 50-39 victory over the Tommies of St Thomas.   The Mustangs came out a bit flat in the first half shooting miserable 18% from the floor and allowing St Thomas to dictate the flow of the game.

After halftime adjustments and self-reflection, CM came out the second half with their full court man to man defense to take off on a 14-3 run to take the lead.  At the 8 minute mark of the second half, CM went up by 10 points and it stayed that way to the end.

Elijah Barbour (Reston, VA) came off the bench to lead the squad with 10 points.  Pietro Badalassi chipped in 8 points and registered 13 rebounds and 3 assists.   Sam Drummond led the Tommies with 7 points.  The Mustangs are back to the hardwood on Nov 3rd when they travel to conference foe Unity College.
