Mustangs clip UMaine Machias

Auburn, ME - After a lackluster win yesterday, CM responded with a solid performance today, beating the University of Maine at Machias 81-73 in Kirk Hall.

CM jumped up early leading 11-2 before Machias got untracked and cut the lead to single digits.  CM maintained a single digit lead the entire first half holding sharpshooters Ben Teer and Jorge Milo to only one three the entire half. The Mustangs went to the locker room with a 35-28 lead.

The second half was more of the same.  CM kept the pressure on causing twenty four Clipper turnovers.

Sharing the ball has been a theme for the Mustangs and they didn't disappoint today.  Twenty two assists were recorded with Rob Skinner (Winsted, CN) leading the way with five and Kaleb Benjamin (Belfast, ME) adding five assists and hauling down seven rebounds.

Carrington Miller (Bingham, ME) recorded his ninth double double registering 28 points and bringing down ten rebounds.  Key additions today from Elijah Barbour (Reston, VA), Mark Williams (Vista, CA), Jordan White (Austell, GA), and Zavier Roman (Belfast, ME) impacted a good team win.

CM increases its record to 10-4 on the season.  The squad travels to Great Bay Community College Tuesday for a 6pm tilt.
