Miller's Milestone Propels CM to Conference Win

Randolph, VT - Carrington Miller (Bingham, ME) registered his 1,000th career point today, leading the Mustangs to an 88-69 road win over Vermont Tech this afternoon.  Along with his 25 points, Miller also hauled down 10 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.

After a sluggish first half, CM went to the locker room up 42-36.  Forced to play without Australian, Pietro Badalassi due to an injury, the Mustangs struggled to get any kind of rhythm going until point guard Rob Skinner (Winsted, CT) blocked an open layup attempt by VTC early in the second half to get the visitors motivated.  CM followed up with a 24-6 run to put the game out of reach.  Skinner ended the contest with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists.  Kionno Nelson (Providence, RI) followed up with a strong game hitting for 12 points.

Tyrelle King led Vermont Tech with 24 points.

The win increases the Mustangs overall record to 13-4 and conference record to 6-0.   The squad travels to the College of St Joe's tomorrow to face the Fighting Saints in a pivotal Yankee Conference matchup
