Miller, Skinner, Gonyea all Honored by YSCC

Auburn, ME - On Friday the Yankee Small College Conference held their annual men's and women's basketball awards banquet, honoring teams, players, and coaches for their achievements over the last 5 months.  Carrington Miller, Rob Skinner, and Head Men's Basketball Coach, Dave Gonyea, were all honored by the league.

Miller (Bingham, ME) was named to the All-Conference 1st Team for averaging 18.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.  He scored in double figures in all but 1 games this year, and had a season high 31 points on 11/11/15 vs. St. Joseph (VT).  Miller also recorded 11 double-doubles on the year.

Skinner (Winstead, CT) was named to the All-Conference 2nd Team for averaging 14.7 points, 7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3 steals per game.  He scored in double figures 23 times this year, while recording 6 double-doubles.  Skinner scored a career high 26 points on 1/16/16 vs. VTC.

Coach Gonyea was recongized as the men's basketball Coach of the Year, after leading the Mustangs to an overall record of 19-8, and a conference record of 11-2, good enough for 2nd place.  This was a huge improvement over last year, which saw the Mustangs finish 13-12 overall and 9-5 in the conference.
