Men's Basketball Receives Bid to USCAA National Tournament

Uniontown, PA - The USCAA announced today that the Central Maine Community College Men's Basketball Team received a bid to the USCAA National Basketball Tournament in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on March 2-5.

The news was met with enthusiasm on the Auburn campus.  CM finished with a 21-9 record and runner-up Yankee Conference Champions.  Led by all-conference players, Carrington Miller and Rob Skinner, the Mustangs have earned the 10th seed in the upcoming tournament.  They will face the 7th seed and home team in the tournament, Penn State Fayette.  Fayette finished the season with a 15-11 record, but won 11 of their last 15 games.

CM will leave Auburn Sunday night and arrive in Uniontown Monday morning.  The USCAA conducts opening ceremonies on Tuesday morning with the annual dunk contest and 3-point contest in the afternoon.  The USCAA All-American Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday night. 

The Mustangs hit the floor on Wednesday night, March 2nd at 6pm in the feature game of the night.  The winners advance and play the number two seed Central Penn Thursday, March 3rd at 2pm.  The loser plays a consolation game Thursday, March 3rd at 1:15pm.
