Mustangs Win in a Thrilling Comeback 86-83

Warrick, RI - A Rob Skinner steal was converted into a layup by Pietro Badalassi as time ran out Wednesday to lead the Mustangs to a comeback 86-83 overtime win over the Community College of Rhode Island. In a thrilling game, CM was down by 18 points with 7 minutes left in regulation. Propelled by a sizeable CM crowd and a spectacular Charles Cedre "superman" save on a ball going out of bounds (which led to a Akeem Laurie three) the visitors picked away at the lead and tied it up with 4 seconds remaining in the game with a Skinner three.

As this was the first game back from break, the game strategy was to use all 20 Mustangs on the roster and find out who was ready for the second half of the season. The squad did not disappoint.

All played very hard and contributed. Skinner led the Mustangs with 27 points and Kaleb Benjamin added 14 points.
