Auburn, ME – CM Men's Basketball Coach Dave Gonyea is pleased to announce Jesse Dixon, former Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, has joined the staff of the men's basketball program at CM.

"We are very excited Jesse is coming aboard" says Coach Gonyea, "He is a basketball junkie who understands what it takes to play and survive at the college level. I've known him for many years as a respectful, hardworking, and sincere young man who will be a huge addition to our program."

Jesse's duties will include film editing, recruiting, practice implementation, community relations and game management.

In his college days, Jesse played at NMCC and averaged 10.5 ppg and 3.4 rebounds per game. He then transferred to UMPI and helped them to a 13-11 record as well as a USCAA National Tournament berth. He is in his last year at UMPI taking classes to finish his Bachelor's degree.

According to Jesse, "I have an incredible amount of respect for Central Maine and I am excited to be a Mustang. The tradition and success that the program has built makes this an exciting opportunity. There is an unbelievable commitment to excellence athletically and academically at CM, and it starts with the leadership of President Knapp and Dave Gonyea. I look forward to returning to the YSCC where I have many great memories and I can't wait to create more alongside the CM nation."
