Mustangs Slip by Lee Academy 80-73

Auburn, ME - A balanced scoring attack and a gutsy performance by a tired team was enough tonight as the Mustangs took down Lee Academy 80-73 at Kirk Hall.  A much bigger squad, Lee featured five players over the 6'5" range who could get to the rim and clean up the glass.   It was apparent after watching Lee warm up the importance of keeping the visitors off the rim.   Between Josh Chery, Cody Tozier, Jack Sylvester, and Corey David, CM managed to hold their own underneath and although being out rebounded 33-28, kept a small lead most of the game.

Despite having five days off for Thanksgiving, the Mustangs came out firing.  Five Mustangs hit for double figures: David had 14 points, Akeem Laurie and Tozier added 13 points, and Chery and Charles Cedre chipped in with 12 points.  David also passed out 9 assists.  The Mustangs travel to Unity College for a Yankee Conference tilt Tuesday at 6pm.
