Concord, NH – A solid team effort today led the Mustangs to a 96-81 win over Northern Essex Community College in game two of the Edward Jones Classic played at NHTI.
A balanced scoring attack led by Corey David (19 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists), Josh Chery (18 points, 8 rebounds), and Jair Johnson (17 points, 3 rebounds) paved the way to victory.
The Mustangs used full court pressure for forty minutes to wear down the tired Knights. A continuous flow of Mustangs in and out of the game was more than Northern Essex could handle.
CM jumped out early taking a commanding lead mid-way through the first half. Northern Essex cut the lead to six by halftime. The Mustangs regrouped at halftime and picked up the pressure even more the second half.
The win propels CM to a 4-0 record.
