Mustangs Claw Bobcats 82-65

Auburn, ME – Typical teams struggle to play back-to-back games.  Not these Mustangs.  Despite arriving, home from a game in Machias at 2am the night before, the boys came out of the gate in the first half with energy and focus giving Paul Smith all it could handle taking a lead into halftime, 41-34. Using a lot of players and combinations, the home team stepped it up in the second half pouring it on and cruising to an 82-65 win.

A (as usual) balanced scoring attack featuring Elijah Barbour who led the charge with 13 points and hauled down 5 rebounds. Josh Chery and Rodney Theodore added 11 points each.

Unsung hero, Malik Farley played his usual staller game with a stat line of 5 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 4 points—all in fifteen minutes.    The stat line does not show his defensive shutdowns and intensity.  He is a major part of what CM is all about- unselfish team basketball.

The squad has three days to prepare for rival SMCC who travels to Kirk Hall Wednesday for an 8pm tip off.
