Mustangs run by Mighty Oaks

So. Portland, ME- Wyatt Hathaway and Michael Connolly each scored 20 points today as the Mustangs ran by the Mighty Oaks 85-54 at the HVIAC basketball tournament held at SMCC.

A balanced scoring attack accompanied with shared minutes allowed CM to cash in on SUNY-ESF's second day fatigue. Full court pressure with constant ball pressure permitted a 44-33 half time lead.

Coach Gonyea states, "We were a bit concerned with the quick turn a round from the game last night but the kids responded. It's great to get in kids who normally don't get a lot of minutes. We are still without Boston and Cam who both have nagging injuries but I suspect both will be ready for Thursday night when we host NHTI."

The Mustangs held the Mighty Oaks to 21 points in the second half while CM scored 41 points of their own.

Connolly had 7 rebounds to go with his 20 points. Floor general Jaeden Henderson chipped with 10 points and 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Next up is a home game against NHTI Thursday at 6pm in Kirk Hall.
