Mustangs Hold Off Panthers

Albany, NY- In game one of the Mustang road trip, the squad traveled to Albany, New York to take on the Albany College of Pharmacy. Despite their eight seed, Albany gave the Mustangs all they could handle. CM jumped out early taking a 42-30 lead into the locker room.  With playing time dispersed, all Mustangs contributed and gave a great effort.

After falling asleep for most of the second half and taking their opponent to lightly, the home team cut the lead to 4 points at the eight-minute mark. A Wyatt Hathaway three hit the twine and a Boston Caldwell over the top layup and pushed the lead back to double digits.

At the end of the day, CM left the city with an 84-76 win.

Boston Caldwell (9-17) 23 points, 5 assists, and 2 rebounds led CM. Big DeMarco McKissic again put up a double double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Jaeden Henderson chipped in with 9 points and 5 rebounds.

CM travels to Paul Smith College for a Sunday 1pm tipoff.
