Falmouth Yachtsman Sets Sail for CM

Auburn, ME - Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach, Kevin Cady, announced that rugged winger, Joshua Noyes, has decided to attend Central Maine for the 2016-2017 school year. Noyes, a stand out senior at Falmouth this past season, will bring a strong physical aspect to the Mustang lineup. At 6'1", 185 lbs he is a big body with a scoring touch.

For the Falmouth Yachtsman this past season Noyes played in twenty games scoring nine goals with seven assists for sixteen points and an impressive +18 statistic which is a clear indication that he pays close attention to his game in the defensive zone as well as the offensive zone. On December 9, 2015 Noyes scored four goals, including the game winner, in a 7-5 win over the St. Dominic Saints at the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.

"We are hoping Josh's scoring touch at NSBA will continue into our inaugural season. Scoring four goals on the road is no easy feat especially against St. Dom's." said Coach Cady.

Cady added, "Falmouth Coach, Deron Barton, has instilled a winning tradition and work ethic in his players. Joshua was part of Falmouth's Class A State Championship in 2015 and participated in the 2016 MPA Class "A" All Star game."

According to Noyes, "I chose CM because it is a great way to get an affordable education. There were many things I liked about the campus, but the instructors really stood out to me. College hockey is going to make me step up my game and show what type of player I am capable of being. I think I can bring offense from a different angle. I see the ice really well and make good passes, in hopes of setting line-mates up for scoring opportunities."
