Hockey Recruit Day a Success

Hockey Recruit Day a Success

Auburn, ME - The Mustangs held their second annual recruit day last Saturday at the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.  Eighteen players turned out to show off their skills.  Players from as far away as Europe and as close as Lewiston will be playing on the squad this year.

According to Head Coach Matt Poulin,"it is exciting to see the season coming together and the great skaters we have in this program.  The athletes have that competitive bite that will be a game changer in a lot of situations for us.  We have skaters that know what it takes to turn up the heat to the next level."

Poulin continues, "a successful program is dependant upon quality student athletes that show passion and drive to be the best at whatever they do.  I look at on this roster from top to bottom and think this gives us a unique advantage most teams do not have which brings a lot of interesting factors to the table."

CM Athletic Director Dave Gonyea added, "it was great to see all the new kids out there on the ice.  I have a good feeling about the quality of student athlete this year and their committment level.  Under Coach Poulin and Coach Rouleau's leadership, i suspect this will be a hard working, grinding squad."

The season will begin October 1st as the team travels to St Anselm's College in Manachester, New Hampshire.
