At the end of his Senior year in High School in 2016, Dana Taylor-Fifield made the decision to pack up, and move from his home in the suburbs of Grayson Georgia, to Auburn, Maine to pursue a dream of playing college Ice Hockey. “At the time, Central Maine Community College seemed like a perfect fit. The school seemed like a close-knit community, and I felt like more than just a number compared to some of the other options I was looking at. The sports program already seemed incredible during my visit to the college, which had a big impact on my decision to ultimately choose CMCC, as well as having family in the New England area," added Fifield.

In 2019, Dana graduated from CMCC with a degree in Applied Science with a focus in Physical Health and Fitness. With that, Dana also ultimately hung up his skates from playing competitive hockey. “I feel very fortunate to have played hockey for CMCC for 3 years. I made a lot of great friends, connections, and memories as an athlete. Nothing can truly prepare you for your last competitive game as an athlete. To be able to look back on the memories and experiences I had as a hockey player at CMCC, it means the world to me.”

Dana now works full-time as a Non-invasive, Cardiovascular Technician at Central Maine Medical Center through the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. Away from the hospital, Dana is the Team Manager/Director of Hockey operations for the Mustangs hockey team. “I am very happy and grateful to still be a part of the Mustangs family, and to still be involved in the sport of ice hockey. I enjoy viewing the sport through a different lens, contributing what I can to the sport and team and growing my knowledge and experience in the sport of hockey. I hope to continue to grow with the program and am looking forward to helping the Mustangs bring back some hardware this upcoming season! I would like to thank the college for the opportunity to be a part of this program, all my past coaches growing up through the years that have helped guide me as an athlete and an individual, and especially my family for the endless sacrifices they made to help me get to where I am today.”
