Men's Soccer falls to UMaine-Machias

The Central Maine Community College (4-1) men's soccer team faced University of Maine Machias at home Sunday afternoon. Just over two minutes into the match Clipper's midfielder Tyler Troup accepted a pass from Franck Zeba and put Machias up 1-0. That score held through the first half. Juan Soles scored next with an assist coming from Christian Olmedo. At 10:20 into the second half a Mustang defender was called for a trip in the box. Troup stepped up and netted the penalty for Machias putting them up 3-0. With just five minutes to go a flurry of offence from the Mustangs ended when Kaleb Davis headed the ball to Kulmiye Idris who fired a shot into the goal. The game concluded 3-1 in favor of Machias who also outshot the Mustangs 14-10. Sam Hobson had 10 saves in goal for CMCC while Luis Herrera had 5 for UMM. Jeremy Remeika played well defensively for Central Maine Community College.
