Men's soccer drops a tough one to SMCC

The Central Maine Community College faced Southern Maine Community College in men's soccer for the second time this season on Monday afternoon in Auburn. At 6:15 the Seawovles pulled ahead when Kyle Ehlers threaded a ball through to Bojan Sikima who found the back of the Skima scored on his own at 16:19 with a well-placed ball that Mustang goalkeeper Sam Hotham got a hand on but couldn't stop from going in. At 37:16 Adam Timberlake provided Skima with another goal and the Seawolves took a 3-0 lead to halftime.  Central Maine improved defensively in the second half but couldn't capitalize offensively. Dylan Tisor and Erik Waite played well for the Mustangs. Sam Hobson had 13 saves in goal for Central Maine while Dakota Bush and Robert Griffin combined for 6 saves in goal for Southern Maine.  These two teams currently stand to meet each other again in the first round of the Yankee Conference playoffs on Tuesday, October 16 at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland.
