Men's Soccer Falls to Machias

Central Maine Community College fell to UMaine-Machias 5-1 Sunday afternoon. The Clippers took the lead just under ten minutes to get on top when Frank Zeba played a ball to Jairo Castillo for the game's first goal. A similar play 18:33 in to the match saw Juan Solares score with an assist from Haider Al-Freihy. The Mustang's held their own for the next twenty minutes and then Victor Novola scored twice in the last five minutes of the half to bring the score to 4-0 at the break.

CMCC captain Brandon Morissette took a free kick just over ten minutes into the second half and freshman Andrew Phelps capitalized on the opportunity to find the back of the goal. At 67:06 the Clippers showed they weren't sitting back when Damon Lincoln collected a pass from teammate Anthony Ascolillo to finish the scoring.

Mustang goalkeeper Dustin Sullivan collected seven saves in the first half while Michael Cote found three saves in the second half.  Machias keeper Everett Senetar had four saves for his half and Robert Devone had two, including a blocked penalty kick from Alex Lyons. Kaleb Davis played well defensively for CMCC while new comer Nikolas Conrad became an offensive threat.
