Men's Soccer Drops Final Game of the Year

Auburn, ME - The Mustangs closed out their regular season at home against the College of St Joseph's Saturday afternoon. The beginning of the game saw CM come out hard and they won a corner just 3:48 into the match which Randy DeRoche crossed to find Sidney Jackson's head but St. Joseph goalie Kyle Milligan made the save. At 7:47 the Mustangs were awarded a penalty kick, captain Brandon Morissette stepped up but again the St. Joseph goal keeper came up with the save. The momentum of the game changed and just minutes later Keven Andrade flicked a ball to Dominick Simpson, and St. Joseph's went up 1-0. That score held until halftime.

In the 58th minute Rosyvelt Baessa scored to finish it off the scoring and the match 2-0 in favor of St. Joseph's. Austin Wing had 5 saves for CM while Milligan had 4.

After the game Head Men's Soccer Coach, Bryan Wallace, commended the CM team for playing well, "St. Joseph's is number one in the conference, I'm pretty happy that we played with them for the first half. In the second half they really took over the game, outshooting us. But our guys were mentally tough throughout a physical, and verbal game. I'm proud of our men."
