Men's Soccer sinks Clippers in shutout win

Auburn, ME - The Mustangs hosted UMaine Machias on Wednesday night, coming out with a 2-0 YSCC win. CM started off strong in the first half with ample opportunities to score. Although they controlled play, the Mustangs were not able to find the back of the net and went into the locker room at half time in a scoreless game.

Central Maine started the second half off determined. In the 55th minute Roland Mattsen connected a well timed pass to Garrett Addison who ignited a rocket, blasting pass the keeper and netting CMCC's first goal. With the momentum clearly on their side, the Mustangs struck again, just 4 minutes later. Manuel Kiambuwa elegantly maneuvered through the Clippers back line to fire a shot to give the Mustangs their final goal.

After the game Assistant Coach, Brandon Morissette, commented, "We possessed the ball very well and defensively we were very disciplined. We just need to start putting shots on frame and being more relentless with out attack."

The Mustangs are back in action on Friday when they travel to Albany, NY to take on the Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. After an overnight stay they travel to Paul Smith's College for an important YSCC match-up.
