Fall Softball schedule announced

Auburn, ME - The Central Maine Mustangs Softball team will continue to build after their 2019 spring season. The Mustangs will have a new look as they only return one player from the Spring squad. Captain, Megan Theriault (Lewiston, ME), will lead the Mustangs into the 2019 fall season. Third-year Head Coach, Bruce Robertson, looks to continue to improve the Mustangs in the win column. The 2019 spring season saw the Mustangs record four wins, finish third in the Yankee Conference and ended with strong showing in the YSCC Tournament.

A look at our 2019 Fall Softball Season has the Mustangs bringing in multiple recruits as they unveil their new multisport athletics turf complex with lights. The complex will open the availability for day and night games for multiple sports including baseball, softball, and men & women's soccer. Having the turf complex will allow the Mustangs to start practice sooner in the spring and worry less about the field conditions due to weather.

This fall season the Mustangs have a full slate of games while continuing to book games. The Mustangs open their fall season against the reigning YSCC Conference Champions, NHTI, on Saturday, September 7th in double-header action.

On Friday, September 13th, the Mustangs host a set double-header home games in a tough non-conference battle vs. CCRI.

The Mustangs will then have a quick turn around and travel on the 14th to Concord, NH for round-robin series with NHTI and SMCC.

Then on Tuesday, September 17th, are home for a mid-week double-header as they battle SMCC at 5pm and 7pm under the lights.

The Mustangs then travel to South Portland for three straight trips. Saturday, September 21st and Sunday the 22nd for a multiple team weekend of round-robin games. Then the following Wednesday, the 25th, they take on the Seawolves in double-header action.

Finally back at home, the Mustangs host another mid-week non-conference double-header 9/26 vs UNE Club at 6pm and 8pm under the lights.

The Mustangs then head back to Concord, NH on September 28th, for the YSCC Fall Classic. The next weekend, they will be back on the road when they travel to Road Island on October 6th, to take on CCRI in a non-conference double-header.
