Soohey played Women’s Basketball and Softball at CM before graduating in 2014 with High Honors.  While in the Mustang basketball uniform Soohey was named 1^st Team All-Conference, 1^st Team All-American, and earned Academic All-Conference and Academic All-American Honors in both basketball and softball.  Soohey was also awarded the prestigous CMCC Female Athlete of the Year in 2015.  After completing her graduation requirements at CM, Soohey earned a basketball scholarship to play at Rochester College (MI).  She also earned Academic All-American honors while at RC.  In high school, Soohey was a 4-year varsity softball and basketball player for Lincoln Academy where she earned KVAC 2nd Team All-Conference honors.
