French's Triple-Double Leads Lady Mustangs to Win

The Lady Mustangs took on the Wyverns of Quinsigamond Community College down in Worcester, MA and blew out the host school, 87-40, in a non-conference matchup.  The full court pressure and depth of CM was far too much for the Wyverns who turned the ball over time and time again under the relentless assault of Susie French, Maggie McConkey and the rest of the young roster.

French led the way with an amazing effort, rarely seen at this or any other level.  French finished the game with 23 points, 14 steals, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists to complete her first career triple-double.  Maggie McConkey chased her own triple-double, finishing with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 steals.  The non-stop pressure of French, McConkey, Hannah Champagne, Shaila Cole, and Jasmine Ramos forced over 50 turnovers, and came away with 39 steals.

Cole finished with 11 points as did sophomore, Laura Soohey.

The Lady Mustangs improve their record to 2-0, and will travel to Lyndon State College (NCAA DIII) for an exhibition game tomorrow at 6:00pm.  CM will wrap up a weekend full of basketball when they host CCRI in a huge matchup on Sunday at 4:00pm.
