CM's Pressure Too Much For Terriers

The Lady Mustangs traveled to Waterville to take on the Terriers of Thomas College in their final exhibition game vs. an NCAA DIII school.  So far this season, CM defeated NCAA DIII teams Lyndon State College (87-57), Thomas College (85-53) and Husson University (72-66), and Tuesday was no different.  CM routed Thomas in their second matchup of the season, 90-39, behind their pressure defense and balanced scoring.

The Mustangs flustered the Terriers with their relentless pressure defense.  The defense forced 41 turnovers and came away with 26 steals.  Leading the way for the Mustangs was Shaila Cole (Providence, RI) who scored a game-high 15 points to go along with her 8 rebounds and 4 steals.  Gabby Foy recorded her first career double-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.

In just 18-minutes apiece, Susie French recorded 12 points and 4 steals, while Maggie McConkey finished with 10 points and 5 assists.  Hannah Champagne recorded 7 points and 6 assists and Lexi Larson finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds.  Everyone on the Mustang's roster found the scoring column.

Katie McAllister led the Terriers with 8 points.

The Lady Mustangs are back in action this weekend as they head to Vermont for a double-header.  Saturday, at 2:00pm, they will be taking on the Fighting Saints of College of St. Joseph and Sunday they will travel to Randolph, VT to take on VTC in a 12:00pm contest.  Both games will be broadcasted LIVE on Mustangs TV.
